CIRCLES
Vassily Kandinsky (1866 -1944)
Russian painter, precursor of abstract art, he is one of the most important artists of the 20th century. Member of the impressionist group "Der Blaue Reiter" from 1911 to 1914 then professor at the famous school Bauhaus from 1922 to 1933 his work is exhibited in the greatest museums of the world.
We were inspired by his work "Various Circles" from 1926 to create our model CIRCLES.
EMMA
Marcel Breuer (1902-1981)
Hungarian-American architect and furniture designer, he is one of the fathers of modernism. Student then professor at the famous Bauhaus school, he created, in 1925, the “Chair B3” or “Vassily Chair” in homage to Kandinsky.
This revolutionary chair for the time, made of curved steel tubes and leather inspired our model EMMA.
NIKI
Niki de Saint-Phalle (1930-2002)
A Franco-American multidisciplinary visual artist, she addresses self-taught painting after a short career as a model then, with her husband Jean Tinguely, she created sculptures and architectural projects. She is also a jewelry designer whose heart was a constant.
We were inspired by her jewels like the Heart of Tree of 1990 to create our model NIKI.
UPWARD
